            The Committee on Political Subdivisions moves to amend the bill:

            (1) on page two, subsection (c), on line 7, at the beginning of the line, by striking out the words “Secretary of State” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “State Auditor in his or her capacity as the chief inspector and supervisor of local government offices”;

            (2) on page two, subsection (c), on line 8, after the word “deadline” and the period, by striking out the words “The Secretary of State” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “The State Auditor”;

            (3) on page two, subsection (c), on line 12, after the words “approved by the” by striking out the words “Secretary of State” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “State Auditor”; and

            (4) on page two, subsection (c), on line fourteen, at the beginning of the line, by striking out the words “Secretary of State” and the period and by inserting in lieu thereof the following:

            “State Auditor. If the State Auditor determines that an extension would be consistent with this section’s purposes and would comply with the legislative rules that implement this section, the State Auditor may grant the extension” followed by a period.
